Southampton, who had led 3-1 early on, squared the match at 8-8 with 33 seconds remaining when Mikey Kingsley scored. But there was still time for Ben Pacey to claim a winner for York 15 seconds from the end. An error in the last second of the third quarter proved costly for Southampton. Holding a 6-5 lead, they lost possession and a speculative back-hander from York skipper Paul Floyd found the net.
