Fixtures for the first phase of the new BWPL season have now been published - go to the fixtures pages to check your club's schedule.

The 2018/19 programme follows the modified calendar agreed with the Swim England Water Polo Management Group and which delays the start of Division 1 until October to make way for the Commonwealth tournament - which, sadly, is now in doubt!

Malta have withdrawn as hosts of the competition. It remains to be seen whether another nation agrees to take over.

The BWPL data system will soon open for clubs to begin player and coach registrations.

British League men's champions Solihull completed a superb double when they defeated Cheltenham 11-5 in the final of the British Championships at Sandford Parks Lido, Cheltenham. City of Manchester beat Lancaster 10-7 to claim third place.

It was a different story in the women's event, where Otter, the BWPL champions, went down 8-7 to Manchester in the final. In the third place match, Liverpool and Coventry drew 6-6, Liverpool edging through 5-4 on penalties.
