In today's other Super 5s match, Invicta beat Bristol Central 11-9 to collect their first points. Three goals by Callum Bailey earned Invicta an early advantage which they maintained all the way through.
In Championship 1, Sheffield made it four wins out of four - but only after a titanic struggle with Polytechnic. Poly pulled up from 7-4 down to 7-7 at one stage and then recovered from 10-7 down with two late goals by Lorenzo Cacciola. But Sheffield held out for the points at 10-9, with Chris Armstrong on target five times.
