Cheltenham Spartans missed two at a vital stage of their clash with Manchester Hawks. From 6-5 down after two periods, the Hawks stormed back to win 14-9, including five goals from Joe Carr and four from James Salt.
Portobello fluffed FOUR penalty chances against Hucknall. But it didn't prevent the Scots winning 17-10, taking charge in the second quarter when they scored five times without reply. Hadrien Collineau was the leading marksman for Portobello with five.
Later, Cheltenham Spartans staged a remarkable recovery against York City, scoring six times in three minutes after trailing 8-4 to set up a 15-10 victory.
Otter beat York 10-9, including two goals each for Daniel Shunn, Chris George, Nikolaos Roussos and Pier Spagna. Late goals by Dennis Bormann and Alex Sanders earned Bridgefield the points against Castleford at 13-12.
