Solihull made a confident start to the men's Division 1 campaign at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, today, beating Lancaster 11-8.

An Alton save thwarted Lancaster when they earned a man-up opportunity midway through the final period. Almost immediately, Lancaster had a player excluded and Jordan Elliott ensured the points for Solihull with his fourth goal.
