Tom Curwen continued his outstanding form this season, scoring four times in the first quarter to set Lancaster on course for a 15-11 defeat of City of Manchester at Guildford (22 November).
For champions Manchester, it was their third defeat of the Super 5s campaign. They were 5-2 down after the first quarter and, with Joe O'Regan scoring five, fought back to trail only 7-5 after two quarters and 12-10 in the last. But there was no stopping Curwen, who finished with six goals to help maintain Lancaster's impressive 100 per cent record this season.
In Championship 1, Sutton & Cheam came from 6-4 down to win their derby against Croydon Amphibians 11-9.
