In men's Division 4, a goal 22 seconds from the end by Greg Jackson salvaged a 9-9 draw for Invicta Marlins against Portobello. Cheltenham Spartans cruised into an early lead against Grantham Knights and eventually won 19-11.
Warwick enjoyed their debut weekend in Division 5, beating the other new boys, Spalding, 17-9, including six goals from Scott Haystead and four from Ashley Keen.
Tyldesley waited until the third period to grab a lead against Watford Saxons but eventually powered clear to win 13-8. Lead scorers were Addison Brown (4) and Adam Toone (3).
