They trailed 6-5 when Elinor Weatherill scored for Sheffield early in the last period and had to wait until 1.35 from the end before Rachel Middlemast equalised. Then, with 47 seconds remaining, up stepped BWPL President Pippa Jones with an immaculately timed winner.
Welsh Wanderers beat Penguin Emperors 11-6, thanks almost exclusively to Milly Wordley. She scored nine.
In men's Division 5, newcomers Caledonia Storm beat Sheffield Dolphins 10-3, including five goals from Ben Parsons.
