Polytechnic hold a one-point lead in men’s Championship 1 after defeating Welsh Wanderers 15-3, including hat-tricks for Chris Brown, Sergio Schiaffino and Jamie Cameron. But the struggle for the title will go to the wire, with Cheltenham and Caledonia very much in contention after the latest round of matches at Haberdashers.
