The men's Division 5 weekend at Walsall produced some tight finishes - including an 8-7 win for Portobello in the top-the-table clash with Invicta Marlins.
The Scots didn't take a narrow lead for the first time until the end of the second quarter. And there was little between the sides until Portobello grabbed the points in a tense final period. Scott Wilson (3) and Hadrien Collineau (2) were the main Portobello scorers, while Andrew Kinch and Tom McDonald both netted twice for the Marlins.
Leeds once again leaned heavily on the goal-scoring power of Lee Copley in a 13-12 victory over Basildon, who briefly led 12-11 when Bradley Watts claimed his fourth goal in the final period. But Copley equalised and claimed the late winner - his ninth of the match.
