Inevitably, the Manchester-Otter clash was a tight affair, Manchester leading 2-1, 5-2 and then 6-2 as the game moved into the final period. Briefly, Otter threatened, scoring through Peggy Etiebet and Robyn Greenslade. Then their defence left too much space for Annie Clapperton, who swooped for her third, decisive goal of the game.
