There was no doubting the star of the Leeds performance. Nilacala Ward scored ten, dominating the match after her team fashioned a 6-2 lead in the first period.
Leeds join Manchester, Liverpool Lizards, Otter and Coventry in the Super 5s, with Sheffield, Caledonia and Hucknall dropping to Championship 1.
Manchester rounded off their Division 1 programme with an 11-10 victory over Coventry. The Midlanders were 3-0 down early on but gradually fought their way back to 9-9 after three periods - then to 10-10. Casey Smith slotted the winner with little more than two minutes remaining.
Caledonia won for the first time - 9-7 in their basement clash with Hucknall - thanks to two late goals by Nicola Tate. Champions Liverpool Lizards beat Otter 8-6, including a Kathryn Fowler hat-trick.
