Penguin began at breakneck speed, going 3-0 up after the opening three minutes. Their pit forward, Mehet Ali Arat, proved quite a handful for the Invicta defence but it was Callum Bailey's powerful shooting that kept Invicta in the game. They led for the first time at 5-4 midway through the second period, improved to 8-6 later on - at which point Penguin rallied to hold a brief 9-8 advantage.
The game went to 10-10 before an exclusion for an illegal entry cost Penguin a penalty - easily converted by Bailey for his eighth goal of the match. Within half a minute, Joe Ortiz claimed the final goal of a super game. Earlier, Invicta beat Polytechnic 9-7, stretching clear in the late stages with goals by James Spencer-Boyce and Dan Atkinson.
At Bolton, Caledonia netted six in the second quarter on the way to a 13-10 victory over Welsh Wanderers. Dominque Zahra scored four for the Scots.
In men's Championship 4, Sedgefield beat Caledonia Storm 12-10 to claim their third win of the season. Watford Saxons also won for third time, 11-6 against Sheffield Dolphins.
