- Lancaster - all staff made it in without any issues and they have no plans to be anything but open tomorrow.
- Walsall - a similar story with no local issues reported and can see no reason why they would not be open tomorrow.
Clearly that is only a small part of the picture but tells us that, unless conditions deteriorate, if teams get to the area of the pool (both are relatively near the motorway network) they will be able to get to the pool.
Our current understanding is that the motorway network is (on the whole) functioning reasonably well. Rail operators are expecting to run most services tomorrow. As we stand we have a full complement of officials attending both events.
On this basis, and with the underlying notion that all teams want to play, we intend running the weekends as published and encourage teams to make every effort to attend. Clearly the final decision to travel must remain with the team and the individual player.
The League will not make any decision as to how it treats non-attendance / non-fulfilment until after the weekend (rule 108.1 will be applied in the first instance).
If you have any questions please contact League Chairman, Dave Andrews, directly ([email protected] or 07764 250423). If while travelling tomorrow you need to make contact with with the event organiser please call Mike Hesketh for Lancaster (07758 513512) or Sharon Worthington for Walsall (07876 750606).
