Not long now before another British League season gets under way! So here's some useful information for clubs and officials:
Time-out regulations: In Super 5s matches, teams may request one time-out in each period of play (FINA WP Rule 12.1). In all other BWPL matches, a maximum of two per team in each match. The half-time interval will be two minutes in all games.
Goalkeepers: The goalkeeper wears red cap 1 and, except in situations where a team is reduced to less than seven players, can only play in that position (WP Rule 5.6). A substitute goalkeeper wears red cap 13 and, for the purposes of BWPL fixtures, may also swap to a white or blue 13 and play on the field.
Overseas Player Transfers: Clubs should please note LEN regulations, which cover the transfer of a player who is registered with a club of another LEN national federation. The regulations can be downloaded at http://www2.len.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Waterpolo_transfer_regulation1620.pdf. Any queries should be directed to the club's home Federation (Swim England etc).
