Sutton & Cheam pulled off a remarkable 12-11 victory over Welsh Wanderers in men's Division Two at Portsmouth today (11 October), recovering from 11-8 down - all in the hectic, final three minutes!
The Wanderers' collapse began when Stephen Bayles scored for Sutton, followed immediately afterwards by another goal from Jacob Tidy. There were 28 seconds left when Dicken Maclean equalised - and it was Phil Lucas who snatched the dramatic winner just as the final hooter sounded.
