Manchester took an early 4-1 lead but the battling Scots were back to 5-5 at the end of the third. With a couple of minutes remaining, Manchester regained the lead at 7-6 through Eleftherios Chelioudalis. Then, however, Manchester had a player excluded and 50 seconds were left when Darren Campbell notched the man-up equaliser. Alasdair Campbell scored four of the Caledonia goals.
There was another shock result when Sheffield claimed their first win of the season, beating Lancaster 7-3 with goals by Joel Abbott (3), Koen van Zadeluoff (2), Chris Armstrong and Elliot Kelly.
