Bridgefield beat Rotherham Metro 19-16 in a match of fluctuating fortunes. In the second period, Rotherham, with Richard Leighton leading the charge, scored seven times to recover from 5-3 down to lead 10-8. Then it was Bridgefield's turn to score seven in the third, a turn-around that eventually guaranteed them the points. Jacob Graham (5), Lee Cadwallader (4) and Paul Williams (4) led the Bridgefield scoring. Leighton finished with seven for Rotherham.
In yet another high-scoring game, Tyldesley defeated York City 17-13, featuring four goals apiece for Tyldesley's Neil Williams (Photo: Trevor Hyde) and Adam Toone. Birmingham outplayed bottom club Cambridge 15-3, scoring eight before their opponents claimed a first goal in the third period.
Later, Bridgefield won for the second time - 11-10 against Tyldesley. Bridgefield recovered from 6-3 adrift to draw level at 9-9 in the final period, at which point Jacob Graham and Lee Cadwallader took Bridgefield clear with crucial goals. Addison Brown added a very late riposte for Tyldesley.
Liam Fletcher's hat-trick in the final period made the difference as York beat Rotherham Metro 12-10.
