Bristol Central pulled off a remarkable last quarter fightback to beat champions City of Manchester in the men's Super 5s at Sunderland Aquatic Centre today (15 November) - and it was 16-year-old Ashley Castle who proved the hero.
Manchester led 7-4 at the end of the third quarter and made it 8-4 at the start of the last. The Central recovery began with a couple goals from Chris Taylor. Then young Castle took over, scoring with just over two minutes remaining to equalise, then claiming the winner with a minute and a half left.
Unbeaten Lancaster defeated Portobello 12-8, including three goals apiece for Tom Curwen and Graham Harrington.
