Polytechnic snatched a last-ditch victory over London rivals Sutton & Cheam in men's Division 2 at Hengrove, Bristol, today when Andre Ferdinand (pictured) converted a penalty with just 29 seconds remaining.
Sutton had battled back from 9-6 down in the third quarter to level at 10-10 with final period goals by Tobias Hook, Nikolas Kotsidis and Gergely Fulop.
Bernice Cowton claimed five goals as Sheffield Sharks beat Leeds 9-7 in women's Division 1 at Grantham.
