Caledonia Storm enjoyed a great day, leaping from 7th at the start to first place thanks to wins over Chester (8-6) and Leeds (8-7). The Scots have eight points, followed by Chester, Invicta Marlins, Leeds, Newport and Sheffield Dolphins all on seven. Chelmsford aren't out of it altogether but will need to beat Chester in their final game tomorrow and hope other results work in their favour.
Men's Division 2 still has a full weekend of games to anticipate, but Exeter boosted their prospects of qualifying for Championship 1 by beating Portobello 15-14 at Aldershot. Andy Holt's two man-up goals in the final quarter earned Watford a 6-4 victory over Worthing.
