MANCHESTER AT THE DOUBLE!
City of Manchester celebrated a tremendous double as their men's and women's teams won Super 5s crowns at Coventry today (24 March).
In both competitions, the titles were up for grabs on the final afternoon in winner-takes-all clashes involving the top two in each division. The Manchester women eased through without too many problems, building a 7-nil early lead against Liverpool Lizards on the way to a 14-8 win.
The men's finale brought together Manchester and last year's champions Polytechnic.
