It will happen at three different venues! And this has only been made possible thanks to a superb level of co-operation and a great deal of hard work involving the League, Swim England and the British Championships organising committee, all of whom already have matches planned during that weekend.
The revised programme will work like this:
Saturday, 17 March - Cheltenham v Solihull men's game added to the BWPL Championship 1 programme at Gloucester (17.45).
Also on Saturday, 17 March - Polytechnic v Lancaster (14.50) and Polytechnic v Manchester (18.50) matches to be played at Beswick Leisure Centre, Manchester, accommodated within the Swim England boys' National Age Groups competition schedule.
Sunday, 18 March - Seven-match programme at Salt Ayre, Lancaster. Five women's matches, plus two men's.
10.00 WS5 Manchester v Coventry (double up as British Champs fixture)
11.15 WS5 Otter v Sheffield Sharks (double up as British Champs fixture)
12.30 MS5 Solihull v Lancaster
13.45 WS5 Liverpool Lizards v Coventry
15.00 WS5 Sheffield Sharks v Manchester
16.15 MS5 Manchester v Cheltenham
17.30 WS5 Liverpool Lizards v Otter
BWPL Chairman David Andrews said today: "It was essential that the matches we were forced to postpone last weekend were played as soon as possible to ensure the Super 5s finale takes place as scheduled at Haberdashers on 24/25 March. In achieving this, we are most grateful for the tremendous support received both from Swim England and the British Championships as well, of course, from our own clubs."
